Bio

Amarsanaa Ganbold is an associate professor of the Department of Information and Computer Sciences, National University of Mongolia (NUM) and a pioneer of the Center for Research on Language Processing at the National University of Mongolia, where he had 9 years of solid experience on several research projects in corpus-based computational linguistics. He received his doctoral degree in computer science from NUM in 2016 in the exchange program at the University of Trento, Italy under the Erasmus Mundus program in the period from 2012 to 2014. His main research is on knowledge representation and data management. He has also started the Mongolian Open Data Initiative in the collaboration between the National Information Technology Park of Mongolia and the NUM since 2014. His recent areas of interest are the use of managing language, data and knowledge diversity in semantic computations, building linked big open data and applying data analytics, towards the construction of a better society.
