We enabled users under the age of 13 to correct their age if necessary to ensure they’re engaging with content most appropriate for their age. Eligible creators can now run price tests to find the best price is for each of their in-game products, helping creators grow revenue without sacrificing user engagment. We expanded controller emulation in Studio enabling creators to test their experiences in VR including Quest 2 and Quest 3 without the need for physical hardware. Creators now have more insight into where players are finding their experiences and insight into the effectiveness of their ads.
Paid access experiences are now eligible for Engagement Based Payouts, which awards Robux to creators for the amount of time spent and number of premium players in the experience. Creators can now enable editing of both mesh and image objects for their players, enabling more customization within their experiences and games for players. The Captures APIs allow creators to include pre-set moments within experiences where a screenshot is automatically taken for users to save, share, or delete the screenshot. We opened up creation of marketplace assets on the platform, allowing people who meet a standard set of eligibility requirements to create and sell assets on the platform.

We improved our group revenue system, enabling creators to pay collaborators directly within creator hub and define percentage splits by revenue source. We rolled out our updated lighting system to Android devices, improving the quality and performance of lighting across experiences. We launched a pilot test of a new Shopify integration, allowing select brands and creators to partner and sell real world items in game. We updated our genres to allow creators to more accurately pick the genres that fit their game, and help users find specific genres that they’re interested in.

We’ve partnered with Integral Ad Science (IAS) and Kantar Context Lab to verify that Immersive ads drive engagement with people who view them on Roblox.
